Temporary enclosure for King Penguins (2007)

Before we could begin modernising the old penguin house and turn it into an enclosure for the King Penguins, a temporary facility was constructed in 2007 enabling the visitors to still see the King Penguins during the construction phase.

The 350,000 euros for this building have been provided by the Zoo Society. This enclosure, which will be built above the Siberian ibex rocks and next to the Zebra and Elands, will be used for other animals after the King penguin enclosure is complete. This enclosure was officially opened on 18.09.2007.
