The Penguin enclosure (1971)
Penguins are the Wuppertal Zoo's heraldic animal. This enclosure was donated to commemorate the Zoo's 90th birthday. This was the first time the penguins could be seen "flying" with the aid of underwater observation windows. We are especially happy that the King Penguins regularly have offspring here.
