Wuppertal Zoo Society - Current and planned projects

As a new project, the Zoo Society decided at their general meeting in March 2009 to finance an 8-metre high, huge walk-in aviary with 1,200 m² for the Shoebill and White Oriental Storks that will be erected behind the bird house. The 650,000 euro construction is expected to commence in 2011.
